1. Structure: Number + も

2. Meaning: as much as, as many as… (emphasising a large amount)

ここはコーヒーがおいしくて有名なんですが、1 杯1,000 円もします。
Koko wa kōhī ga oishikute yūmeina ndesuga, 1-pai 1, 000-en mo shimasu.
The coffee here is famously good, but a cup costs as much as 1,000 yen.

コンサートには1 万人もの人があつまったそうです。
Konsāto ni wa 1 man-ri mo no hito ga atsumatta sōdesu.
I hear as many as 10,000 people came to the concert.

「昨日は暑かったですね」 「ええ、本当に暑かったですね。最高気温が36 度もあったそうですよ」
