1. With place nouns: にいます・あります:
➡️ Someone or something is somewhere:
⭕️　私の家族はハノイにいます。
My family is in Hanoi
⭕️　会社は横浜（よこはま）にあります。
My company is in Yokohama.
➡️ With time nouns:
(〜時・日・月・年）「に」を使います
⭕️　ゆうべ12時にねました。
Last night I went to sleep at 12.
⭕️　まいしゅう金曜日（きんようび）にテストがあります。
There is a test every Friday.
⭕️　来月の３日に姉（あね）が中国に行きます。
My older sister is going to China on the 3rd of next month.
⭕️　今年（ことし）4月（しがつ）に日本へ来ました。
I came to Japan in April this year.
⭕️　私は1990年に生（う）まれました。
I was born in 1990.
➡️ After verbs of one-way action:
（人に聞きます・書きます・教えます・かけますなど）
⭕️　いもうとは母にてがみを書きました。
My younger sister wrote a letter to our mother.
⭕️　わからないことばの意味を先生に聞きました。
I asked the teacher about the words I didn't understand.
⭕️　ともだちに電話（でんわ）をかけました。
I phoned a friend.

➡️ After these verbs:
