Common Japanese sentences used in business.

Dialogue 1

A: はじめまして、森と申します。
（はじめまして、もりともうします。）
Nice to meet you, my name is Mori

B: あなたが森さんですか。
（あなたがもりさんですか。）
Mr Mori, is it?

お噂はかねがね伺っていますよ。
（おうわさはかねがねうかがっていますよ。）
I've heard a lot about you

Dialogue 2

A: わざわざご足労いただいてすみません
（わざわざごそくろういただいてすみません）
I'm sorry for the trouble

B: いえいえ、ついでがあったもんですから。
（いえいえ、ついでがあったもんですから。）
No, not at all

Notes:
足労（そくろう）= the trouble of travelling — “ご足労いただく” is a polite way to thank someone for taking the trouble to come and see you
ついで = while at it, on the way — “ついでがあったもんですから” means “it was just on my way” (a modest way of playing down one's effort)

Dialogue 3

A: 山田さん、今朝のニュース見たかい。
（やまださん、けさのニュースみたかい。）
Yamada, did you see the news this morning?

我々の新商品が取り上げられてたよ。
（われわれのしんしょうひんがとりあげられてたよ。）
Our new product was featured

B:
ええ、私も見ました
（ええ、わたしもみました）
Yes, I saw it

Dialogue 4
A:
ごぶさたしております。その節はどうも。
（ごぶさたしております。そのせつはどうも）
I'm so sorry, thank you for helping me with that

B:
こちらこそ、ありがとうございました！
（こちらこそ、ありがとうございました！）

Dialogue 5
A:
では、サンプルにつきましては出来上がり次第見せていただくということで！
（では、サンプルにつきましては できあがりしだい みせていただくということで！）
About the product sample, I'll send it to you as soon as it's finished

B:
はい。承知しました。週明けにはお持ちできると思います。
（はい。しょうちしました。しゅうあけにはおもちできるとおもいます。）

Dialogue 7
A:

（おかげさまでなんとかのりきることができました。）

B:
そうですか。それはよかったですね！

Dialogue 8
A:
実は、納期の件なんですが、あと3日ほどお待ちいただけないかと思いまして…
（じつは、のうきのけんなんですが、あと3にちほどおまちいただけないかとおもいまして…）
Actually, about the delivery date, could it be delivered in 3 days?

B:
3日ですか…うーん、それは厳しいですね…
（3にちですか…うーん、それはきびしいですね…）
3 days… that's going to be a bit difficult

Dialogue 9
A:
制度そのものを抜本的に変える必要があると思いますが。
（せいどそのものをばっぽんてきにかえるひつようがあるとおもいますが。）
I think the system itself needs to be changed thoroughly

B:
おっしゃることはよくわかりますが、周りに与える影響の大きさも無視できないのではないでしょうか。
（おっしゃることはよくわかりますが、まわりにあたえるえいきょうのおおきさもむしできないのではないでしょうか。）
I understand what you're saying, but I don't think we can ignore its impact on everything around it
