2. 今に
意味：Before long…/ Soon….
使い方：It expresses a guess about something that will happen soon.
Synonyms: そのうち、いずれ
例文：そんな運転の仕方では、今に事故を起こすよ。
Driving like that, he will cause an accident before long.

3. 今にも
意味：About to… any moment now
使い方：It describes the state of a thing or an event as about to happen, surely within a very short time.
Goes with そうだ
例文：今にも雨が降りそうだ。It looks like raining any moment now.

4. 今や～
意味：Now, at present, these days
使い方：Used when speaking of a thing or an event set against a comparison between before and now, to bring out the difference or the surprise.
例文：普通の大学生だった彼も今や有名な作家だ。
The young man who was once an ordinary university student has now become a famous writer.

5. 今でも
意味：Even now…
使い方：Used for a state that began in the past and continues into the present, with the stress on the present.
例文：今でも私にとって君は小さくて、可愛い女の子なんだ。
Even now, to me you are still a small, sweet girl.

6．今まで
意味：Up to now…
使い方：It describes a state lasting from the past into the present ( where 今でも stresses the present, 今まで stresses the course of things up to now )
例文：今まで、一度も泣いたことがありません。
Up to now I have never once cried.

7．今から
意味：From now on
使い方：It expresses actions and states that will begin from now on ( usually shortly afterwards or straight away )
Synonym: これから
例文：レポートをまだ作成していない。今から、やる。
I still haven't finished the report. I'll carry on with it from now.

8. 今すぐ
意味：Right now…
使い方：It speaks of doing something immediately.
例文：午後は試験がありますから、今すぐ勉強します。
There's a test this afternoon, so I'm studying right now.
